Watervliet church demolition continues

WATERVLIET - There has been an update in the demolition of Saint Patrick's Church in Watervliet.

A crane was supposed to be brought in from Connecticut to pull down the bell tower, but it has not arrived yet, so that is expected to happen.

The bell that was in the tower is now on display at the Watervliet Historical Society Museum.

The lot where the church and rectory have stood for over 100 years will eventually be home to a new Price Chopper Supermarket.
