Dr. John and The Blind Boys of Alabama to perform | Arts & Culture

ALBANY - On Thursday, Nov. 1 legendary singer-songwriter Dr. John and five-time Grammy award winners The Blind Boys of Alabama will be performing the world premiere of  "Spirituals of Funk" at the Palace Theatre.

Based on the legendary Carnegie Hall "From Spirituals to Swing" concerts in the 1930s, under Dr. Jophn's musical direction "Sprituals of Funk" explores the the connections between jazz, blues and gospel.

Tickets to this historic performance go on sale on Thursday, Aug. 16. Tickets are $37.50 and $47.50.

The show will be at 8 p.m. at the Palace.
