National Grid warns customers of scam | Business

National Grid is warning millions of customers about a new scam making the rounds.

The utility company says scammers are going door-to-door, online and calling customers, claiming you can have your bills paid under a federal government program.

They then ask for your social security and bank routing numbers.

The problem; no such federal program exists.

If you receive any such calls or visits, don't give out your personal information and call police.
