Students, faculty raise money for cancer fight | Community Spirit

Students at an East Greenbush school recently raised more than $400 for the fight against breast cancer.

Team Tech Valley High School, consisting of 14 TVHS students and faculty members, took part in the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in Albany on last weekend.  According to the school’s communications coordinator the team collected about $460 through pledges and fundraising efforts which was donated to the American Cancer Society.

Senior Loreili Behan, of Cohoes, who organized the contingent noted than the number of students who showed up to the Sunday fundraiser exceeded 10 percent of the entire student body.
