Waterford man with HIV may get 32 years for rape | Crime

SARATOGA - A Waterford man faces up to 32-years in state prison for raping a woman while knowing he was HIV positive.

Samuel Serrano-Gonzalez, 28, raped his ex-girlfriend, prosecutors say, because she broke up with him.

Saratoga County District Attorney Jim Murphy says in doing so, Gonzalez tried to give her the virus that causes AIDS.
