Pair accused of stealing copper in Waterford | Crime

WATERFORD - Two people are under arrest in Waterford, accused of stealing hundreds of pounds copper.

Police arrested 23-year-old Jeremy Linen and 16-year-old Kaitlin Bailey.

Police responded to the Waterford Rural Cemetery after a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Two other suspects fled.

Police say the four cut a lock on a fence near the state Department of Transportation shop and stole nearly 840 pounds of copper. That's valued at more than $3,300.
