CDPHP, cancer center, supermarket provide cancer screening opportunities | Events

For the sixth consecutive year, CDPHP, in conjunction with Bellevue Woman’s Care Center and Price Chopper, has announced its annual mammography campaign aimed at providing screening opportunities to women in the Capital Region.

The six-month campaign will offer mammography screening opportunities in Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie counties, and culminate during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Recognizing the reported health barriers often associated with living in rural and urban communities, the campaign aims to increase awareness and screen Capital District women challenged with access issues, lack of insurance, or apprehension about the screening process.

CDPHP Select Plan (Managed Care Medicaid) members who take advantage of the campaign to access this important annual screening will be eligible for a $25 gift card to Price Chopper.

In addition, through collaboration with New York State Cancer Services Programs, women without health insurance, or with limited coverage, may be eligible for a free breast screening, as well as a clinical breast exam and Pap smear. Women are invited to call Bellevue Woman’s Care Center at 1-888-423-3366 to schedule an appointment for a screening on a day and location convenient for them.

Screenings are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following dates and locations:
