CDTA to host National Dump the Pump Day

On Thursday, June 21, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. CDTA will be hosting National Dump the Pump Day.

People in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, and Saratoga County will be able to participate in a social media scavenger hunt for $1000 of CDTA bus passes.

To participate in the event, you must follow CDTA on Twitter here or by liking the CDTA facebook page here.

Participants who find the passes should take a photo of the location and post it with their reason for dumping the pump for the chance to win the grand prize “Summer Fun Connections Package.” The grand prize includes a 31-Day Rolling pass (three months), a four pack of Tri-City ValleyCats tickets, four tickets to CountryFest at the Times UnionCenter on July 7,two passes to attend New York Giants Training Camp and a pair of tickets to see the New York Yankees.

Blue Man Group returns to Proctors

SCHENECTADY - This Summer, Blue Man Group will once again return to the Proctors Mainstage where aast year they delighted over 15,000 residents of the Capital Region.

The theatrical tour promises to feature classic Blue Man moments as well as new content.

Unable to be put into one category, Blue Man Group takes the audience on a visuallly stunning, funny, and intelligent journey.

Tickets range in price from $20-$75 and are available at the Proctors Box Office or ONLINE HERE.

Blue Man Group is a family friendly show.

Palace Theatre to host Morrissey

Palace Theatre to host Morrissey

Morrissey, a UK musician and singer-songwriter, will be coming to the Palace Theatre on Thursday, October 18 at 8 p.m.

Morrissey will perform his greatest hits and unreleased songs at this concert.

Tickets are $59.50, $49.50, $39.50, and $29.50. They go on sale Friday, June 22 at 10 a.m.

Matthew Sweet, an alternative pop rock musician, will perform the entirety of his 1990’s album “Girlfriend” Friday at The Egg at 8 p.m.

A Fragile Tomorrow will open the concert.

'Under The Big Top' comes to Albany

On Tuesday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Palace Theatre, The Music Studio will be hosting “Under The Big Top,” a circus-themed music night.

The event will feature professional circus performers and over 300 students from The Music Studio performing circus-themed songs and dances.

The event is free and open to the public.

Flogging Molly to perform at the Palace Theatre

Flogging Molly to perform at the Palace Theatre

On Saturday, June 16 at 8 p.m., Flogging Molly will be performing at the Palace Theatre.

Flogging Molly is a punk rock band that infuses Celtic music using instruments such as the violin, mandolin, and the accordion.

Tickets are $29.50 and $24.50.

Therapy dogs come back to Cohoes Public Library

On the 3rd Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to noon, Bruno, a therapy dog from Out of the Pits, will come to the Cohoes Public Library, located at 169 Mohawk St.

Bruno is a trained therapy dog that helps children instill confidence in their reading and puts them at ease.
