Local mayors make friendly sports wager | News

There will be a friendly wager between Cohoes Mayor John McDonald and Watervliet Mayor Michael Manning.

Their high school basketball teams meet Satruday for the class B Boy's Championship. Mayor McDonald will buy lunch at Smith's Restaurant in Cohoes if his team loses.

If Cohoes wins, Mayor Manning will buy lunch at Valente's Restaurant in Watervliet. If the girl's teams at Cohoes and Watervliet meet in the finals, the mayors have agreed to a back up wager of double or nothing.
