Extras needed for HBO Films production shooting in Capital Region | News

The Capital Region will get a taste of Hollywood this May. An HBO production will shoot in Albany and Schenectady next month and the production is looking for extras.

HBO Films said they will be shooting “Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight” in the Albany and Schenectady areas on May 10 and May 11. HBO Films is looking for men, women and children who are interested in appearing onscreen in the background of shots.

“We welcome the local community to get involved as background players,” said Grant Wilfley, president of Grant Wilfley Casting, Inc. Grant Wilfley Casting will coordinate and cast all background performers.

The movie is set in 1971 and local residents are being sought to portray early 1970s bus station travelers and neighborhood types.
