Altamont Fair to begin Aug. 14 | News

ALTAMONT - The Altamont Fair will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 14 and will run until Aug. 19.

Below are some attractions and events featured at this year’s fair:

Opening Day is Tuesday, August 14. Gate 2 is open at 7a.m., all gates are open at 10a.m. and the midway opens at noon every day. The $15 admission tickets include all rides, events, exhibits and parking. Admission is free for patrons under 36" tall.  

Senior Day is Wednesday, August 15. Admission is free until 4p.m. for seniors 65 years and older. This free admission does not include rides. Courtesy carts will be available for visitors needing transportation assistance.

Armed Services Day is Thursday, August 16. With military ID, admission is free until 4p.m. for current and retired military members. This free admission does not include rides. Courtesy carts will be available for visitors needing transportation assistance. There will be a WWII Radio Broadcast reenactment at 11a.m., a Flag Ceremony by the Marine Color Guard at 1:30p.m. and a 9p.m. fireworks, among other special events.

SEFCU Day is Friday, August 17. The first 200 visitors will receive a great giveaway upon entering the fairgrounds!
